Our Podiatrist's significantly improve the quality of life of our patients by promoting and maintaining mobility. We offer a range of treatments including orthotic therapy, bracing therapy, biomechanics and strength and conditioning.

Podiatry

Podiatry is a specialist healthcare focused on treating the foot and lower extremity. The foot is a highly complex structure that is unique to humans. When a patient develops foot problems it can reduce mobility and negatively impact the patient's overall health and quality of life. Your Podiatrist is best placed to treat any such problems.

Orthotic Therapy

Orthotic Therapy is a physical therapy involving the prescription, manufacture and fitting of foot orthotics to improve the foot or lower limb, back and/or musculoskeletal function to resolve or reduce foot pain.

Bracing Therapy

Today's braces are slimline, light, comfortable and return excellent results when treating a range of pathologies including flat foot, drop foot, diabetic neuropathy and tendinopathy of the foot and ankle.

Biomechanics

As we specialise in treating sports injuries, we are experts in understanding how the relative movements of the body impact on one another. This is Biomechanics.

Strength & Conditioning

Foot strength is commonly overlooked. Poor foot strength can result in increased occurrence of foot and ankle pathologies. Strength and conditioning plays an important role in patient recovery and rehabilitation following an injury. At Firefly we provide patient specific strength and conditioning programmes designed to reduce the likelihood of future injury.
